I cannot get enough of the autumnal foliage, and I love to spend as much time in the park with Octavia as possible when the sun is out (even when it is cold). Octavia and I did a little photo walk together.
Wednesday was a very dark day. My sweet colleagues brought me various gold items to make me feel better. Anton Funck, the Danish artist, was dropping off prints and decided to give me the gold one. On the back, he wrote “a golden ticket for Betsy.” I will treasure it. Also pictured: Corona and cheesecake from Hart Bakery.
The Danish department store, Magasin, asks artists to make holiday window displays every year, and I was lucky enough to be invited to the opening. Rose Eken made a tree and all of the gifts under it out of ceramic. The best sort of Christmas presents, I think. At the opening, we all drank gløgg and ate cake. Now it really feels that the holiday season is upon us.
I am obsessed with these orange houses in Frederiksberg Garden. My next research deep dive is going to be an investigation of this colour.
Following a Danish study session with my friend Ruben, I made a chicken. It was soothing for both election and test stress, as dinners with friends always are.
